Charakteristika: Aeryn Sun byla jedním z nejlepších vojáků a bojových pilotů elitní jednotky Pleisarskéno regimentu PK, na což byla od narození cvičená. Proto žila a vyrůstala na lodích Peacekeeperů, které považovala za svůj domov.Ve 14 letech řídila poprvé čistící vozidla, o půl roku později létala s KL80 a KL81. V 16-ti nastoupila do Školy pro piloty na Prowlery. Jako důvod pro tento (pro ni) ne nejrychlejší vstup udáva, že musela nejprve natoli vyrůst, aby dosáhla na pedály. O svojich rodičích ví velmi málo, například že její matka byla/je voják, jméno jejího otca bylo Talyn a že ona sama byla chtěné dítě. S jejím předcházejícím životem je ale konec, když potká lod Moyu, její posádku a člověka Johna Crichtona. Podle PK standardů (a hlavně podle velitele Craise) je po nedovoleném kontaktu s cizinci nezvratně pošpiněná a od jediné rodiny, kterou kdy měla je nenávratně oddělená. Od Moyi se ale naučí, že existují i jiné způsoby komunikace a boje, velmi často se ale vrácí do starých kolejí. A i teď když už ví, že Peacekeepeři jsou skorumpovaní a bojechtiví, stále se někdy cíti jako zrádce své rasy a jednotky. Ješte jí to nějakou dobu potrvá, než se přispůsobí svému novému životu.
